V's 52 Pick-Up || 11

Hello all, welcome back to Madame Sosostris' chambers. Don't worry, our protagonists's tarot reading is coming to a close. But Madame has not said her last word yet.

It seems the future outcome is cloudy for our narrator.

Let us meet this one-eyed merchant, shall we?

Hum, he cuts a fine figure does he not? The tailored suit and the casual way he holds himself. You hardly notice the monster hiding behind.

The Waste Land is a poem about the dumbing down of society. About the loss of culture and education. About the ignorant masses being lead by ignorant leaders. It is about society becoming an arid desert instead of a fertile land. Water is a theme that returns constantly through this poem. Hence the creepy octopus / Cthulhu man.

Thank you for your presence here.

  1. This is so interesting, so cool how this project is taking you deep into this poem. Have you read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children? This post reminds me of the book.
